Kinh Nguyện 1
Lạy Chúa Giêsu Kitô! Sự êm dịu vĩnh cửu của người kính mến Chúa. Nguồn vui vượt mọi vui thích ước mơ. Ơn cứu độ và hy vọng của tội nhân. Chúa đã tỏ cho biết không gì thỏa mãn lòng Chúa cho bằng ở giữa loài người, đến nỗi khi viên mãn thời gian. Chúa đã mặc xác phàm vì yêu chúng con…Xin Chúa nhớ lại biết bao gian khổ Chúa đã chịu từ khi thụ thai, nhất là trong lúc chịu khổ nạn, như Thánh ý Chúa Cha đã định từ thuở đời đời.
Xin Chúa nhớ lại trong bữa tiệc ly với các môn đệ…Sau khi rửa chân cho họ, Chúa đã ban Mình Thánh và Máu Thánh Chúa, và hết lời thân tình an ủi họ, và báo cho họ biết trước cuộc tử nạn của Chúa...Xin Chúa nhớ lại biết bao phiền sầu lo âu Chúa chịu trong tâm hồn, như đã chứng tỏ trong lời Chúa than thở "Linh hồn Thầy buồn sầu đến chết được!."
Xin Chúa nhớ lại biết bao sợ hãi, phiền muộn, đau đớn Chúa chịu trên thân mình mến yêu của Chúa, trước khi Chúa chịu đóng đinh trên thập giá, Chúa đã đổ mồ hôi máu lúc cầu nguyện 3 lần, bị Giuda môn đệ phản bội, bị dân riêng Chúa chọn và ưu đãi bắt trói, bị nhân chứng giả vu cáo, bị 3 tòa án lên án bất công, khi tuổi thanh xuân trong đại lễ Vượt Qua...Xin Chúa nhớ lại, Chúa bị lột trần khoác áo chế diễu, bị bịt mắt, bị vả mặt, bị đội mũ gai, tay cầm cây sậy, bị trói vào cột đá, bị đánh đòn nứt nẻ thịt da, bị xúc phạm ê chề nhục nhã…Lạy Chúa vì nhớ lại những thống khổ Chúa chịu trước khi bị đóng đinh vào thập giá...Xin ban cho con trước giờ chết được thật lòng xám hối, xưng hết tội lỗi, đền tội xứng đáng. Ðược ơn tha thứ hết mọi tội lỗi. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Chúa là tự do thật của các Thiên Thần, là Thiên Ðàng hoan lạc. Xin Chúa nhớ lại sự buồn phiền kinh hãi, khi các thù địch như đàn sư tử hung dữ vây hãm Chúa, chúng thi nhau hành hạ Chúa cho hả giận. Chúng khạc nhổ, đánh đập, chửi bới và muôn vàn hình khổ nhục nhã khác…Lạy Chúa cứu thế! Vì những hinh khổ, những xúc phạm xỉ nhục ấy. Xin Chúa cứu con thoát khỏi mọi kẻ thù hữu hình và vô hình, và phù hộ dẫn đưa con tới hưởng hạnh phúc ơn cứu độ muôn đời. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Ðấng tạo thành trời đất! Không có gì giam hãm và giới hạn Chúa được. Vì Chúa là Ðấng bảo vệ và điều khiển hết mọi sự trong quyền năng Chúa…Xin Chúa nhớ lại những cực hình Chúa chịu, khi quân Do Thái trói chân tay thánh thiện và thanh khiết của Chúa lại, và lấy đinh to tầy mũi đóng thâu qua, như vậy cũng chưa thỏa lòng độc ác, còn hùa nhau làm toác rộng vết thương, làm cho thêm đau đớn hơn. Chúng xô Chúa nằm ngửa trên Thập Giá và lôi kéo tứ phía, cho giãn các xương khớp làm Chúa đau đớn khôn tả…Lạy Chúa, con xin Chúa vì nỗi đau đớn rất thánh rất mến trên Thánh giá này, ban cho con lòng kính sợ và yêu mến Chúa tận tình. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là Thầy thuốc thần linh đã chịu treo trên thập giá, để chữa lành những vết thương của chúng con bằng những vết thương của Chúa…Xin Chúa nhớ lại mọi phần thân thể Chúa đã bị bầm dập, nát bấy không nơi nào nguyên vẹn. Thật không có nỗi đau đớn nào so sánh được với sự khổ đau của Chúa. Từ bàn chân đến đỉnh đầu, không nơi nào không bị gia hình. Tuy vậy, Chúa quên hết mọi đớn đau mà không ngớt cầu xin Chúa Cha tha cho kẻ hại mình: "Lạy Cha, xin tha cho chúng, vì chúng không biết việc chúng làm"
Lạy Chúa! Vì lòng nhân hậu cao cả ấy, và vì tưởng niệm sự đau đớn này. Xin Chúa nhớ lại cuộc khổ nạn thảm thương của Chúa, ban cho con được lòng xám hối trọn vẹn, và ơn tha thứ mọi tội lỗi. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là gương phản chiếu ánh sáng ngàn đời! Xin Chúa hãy nhớ lại nỗi buồn phiền Chúa chịu, khi nhìn thấy trong ánh sáng Thần Tính của Chúa: Sự tiền định của những kẻ được cứu rỗi nhờ công ơn khổ nạn của Chúa. Một trật Chúa cũng nhìn thấy vô số người bị hư đi vì tội lỗi họ, và Chúa rất đắng cay thương hại những tội nhân khốn nạn ấy hư mất…Lạy Chúa Giêsu dịu hiền! Vì lượng từ bi lân tuất hải hà của Chúa, và nhất là lòng nhân hậu đối với người trộm lành qua lời Chúa hứa: "Hôm nay ngươi sẽ được ở trên Thiên Ðàng với ta", mà khoan dung nhân hậu đối với con trong giờ chết. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là Vua rất đáng mến, đáng kỳ vọng. Xin Chúa nhớ lại sự đau đớn Chúa chịu khi bị đóng đinh treo trên thập giá, trần trụi như kẻ phạm hèn. Mọi thân thích, mọi bạn hữu đều trốn bỏ, chỉ có Mẹ rất yêu dấu Chúa vẫn trung kiên bên Chúa trong cơn hấp hối. Chúa đã trối người cho môn đệ tín trung: Chúa thưa Mẹ:
"Này bà, đây là con Bà", và bảo môn đệ: "Ðây là Mẹ con"
Lạy Chúa cứu thế! Xin Chúa vì lưỡi giáo đau khổ đâm thâu lòng Mẹ Thánh Chúa, thương an ủi con trong lòng mọi gian khổ âu lo, thể xác cũng như tâm hồn. Và cứu giúp con trong mọi cơn thử thách, nhất là trong giờ lâm tử. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là suối từ bi vô tận. Bởì tấm lòng Chúa yêu thương vô ngần, nên từ trên cây Thánh Giá Chúa đã thốt nên lời: "Ta khát", Chúa khát khao phần rỗi nhân loại…Lạy Chúa cứu chuộc. Xin Chúa thiêu đốt lòng con khao khát nên trọn lành trong mọi công việc con làm, và xin Chúa dập tắt ngọn lửa nhục tình, và những đam mê trần tục trong lòng con. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là sự êm dịu của mọi tâm hồn, ngọt ngào của trí khôn. Vì mật đắng giấm chua Chúa đã nếm trên Thánh Giá để tỏ lòng yêu thương chúng con. Xin ban cho chúng con được rước Mình và Máu Thánh của Chúa cách xứng đáng, khi còn sống và trong giờ chết, để nên linh dược và nguồn an ủi cho linh hồn chúng con. Amen.

Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Anh dũng tuyệt vời. Niềm vui tâm trí. Xin Chúa nhớ lại nỗi thống khổ Chúa chịu khi bị dân Do Thái thóa mạ, nguyền rủa lúc gần chết. Chúa chìm ngập trong tủi nhục đắng cay, đến nỗi Chúa đã phải lên tiếng kêu cứu Chúa Cha dường như đã bỏ rơi mình…"Lạy Chúa! Lạy Chúa! Nhân sao Chúa bỏ con"
Lạy Chúa cứu chuộc con! Vì sự phiền sầu đó, con nài xin Chúa chớ bỏ rơi con giữa những đau đớn hãi hùng trong giờ lâm tử. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Trong mọi sự Chúa là khởi đầu và kết thúc, là nguồn sống và sức mạnh. Xin Chúa nhớ lại vì chúng con mà toàn thân Chúa bị nhận chìm trong biển đau thương, từ đỉnh đầu cho tới bàn chân. Vì công ơn cao cả các thương tích Chúa. Xin dạy con biết yêu mến tuân giữ các giới luật Chúa. Vì giới luật này là đường rộng rãi, dễ dàng đối với những người yêu mến Chúa. Amen.

Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Vực thẳm lân tuất. Khi kính nhớ những thương tích Chúa đã chịu thấu tới xương tủy tâm can. Xin Chúa lôi kéo con khốn nạn đang chìm đắm trong phản nghịch ra khỏi tội lỗi. Và dấu kín con trong thương tích Chúa, để né tránh Thánh Nhan uy nghiêm Chúa, cho đến khi cơn giận công thẳng Chúa nguôi đi. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là gương chân lý, dấu chỉ hiệp nhất, mối giây bác ái. Xin Chúa nhớ lại vô vàn đau thương Chúa đã chịu từ đầu đến chân, đang toác ra và tuôn rỉ máu đào. Ôi! Kể sao cho xiết những đau thương khốn cực mà Chúa đã chịu trên thân xác tinh tuyền của Chúa vì yêu thương chúng con. Ôi Chúa Giêsu rất dịu ngọt! Còn có gì làm được mà Chúa chưa làm cho chúng con? Lạy Chúa cứu thế! Xin lấy máu Châu Báu Chúa in mọi vết thương Chúa vào lòng con, để con luôn luôn đọc được mọi đau khổ và Tình Yêu Chúa. Chớ gì sự trung thành kính nhớ cuộc tử nạn Chúa, là thành qủa của khổ đau Chúa, đổi mới tâm hồn con, và đức mến mỗi ngày mỗi tăng tiến trong lòng con, cho đến khi con về với Chúa, là kho tàng mọi hạnh phúc mà con hằng thiết tha nài xin. Ôi! Lạy Chúa Giêsu rất dịu hiền của con. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là nguồn sức mạnh vô song. Vua hằng sống và bất khuất. Xin Chúa nhớ lại sự đau đớn Chúa chịu đến tàn hơi kiệt sức, trong tâm hồn và trên thân xác. đến khi gục đầu xuống tuyên bố: "Mọi sự đã hoàn tất"
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Vì sự khổ cực đau đớn ấỵ. Xin Chúa thương xót con trong giờ phút cuối đời, là lúc tâm hồn con bối rối lo âu, và tâm trí con hãi hùng khiếp sợ. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Con Một Chúa Cha, là ánh huy hoàng, là hình ảnh bản tính Chúa Cha. Xin Chúa nhớ lại lời phó thác thiết tha khiêm hạ. Chúa đã dâng lên Chúa Cha rằng: "Lạy Cha! Con phó thác linh hồn con trong tay Cha". Rồi Chúa tắt thở, khi toàn thân đã rách nát. Trái tim tan vỡ, cửa tình thương mở rộng để cứu chuộc chúng con.
Ôi! Vua Cả Thần Thánh…Xin vì cái chết cao cả của Chúa, thương ban sức mạnh và trợ giúp con, chiến thắng ma quỉ, xác thịt, hầu chết cho thế gian và chỉ sống cho mình Chúa thôi. Trong giờ chết, xin Chúa đón nhận linh hồn con từ chốn lưu đày xa quê trở về với Chúa. Amen.

Lạy Cha...Kính Mừng.
Lạy Chúa Giêsu! Là cây nho đích thực, hoa trái xum xuê. Xin Chúa nhớ lại dòng máu đã xối xả chảy ra từ xác Thánh Chúa, như nho trong máy ép, và từ cạnh sườn đã bị lưỡi giáo lý hình đâm thủng. Chúa đã để máu và nước ứ đọng chảy ra, không xót lại một giọt nào hết. Sau hết thân xác tinh tấn Chúa rũ rượi như bó mộc được treo trên thập giá, ruột gan teo quắt, cốt tủy héo khô…Lạy Chúa Giêsu tốt lành! Vì cuộc tử nạn chua xót này, và Máu Thánh Chúa đã đổ ra. Xin đón nhận linh hồn con, khi con bước vào giờ hấp hối hãi hùng kinh sợ. Amen.

THE 15 PRAYERS OF ST. BRIDGET &THE 21 PROMISES These Prayers and these Promises have been copied from a book printed in Toulouse in 1740 and published by the P. Adrien Parvilliers of the Company of Jesus. Apostolic Missionary of the Holy Land, with approbation, permission and recommendation to distribute them.
Pope Pius IX took cognizance of these Prayers with the prologue; he approved them May 31, 1862, recognizing them as true and for the good of souls.
As St. Bridget for a long time wanted to know the number of blows Our Lord received during His Passion, He one day appeared to her and said: “I received 5480 blows on My Body. If you wish to honor them in some way, say 15 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Mary's with the following Prayers (which He taught her) for a whole year. When the year is up, you will have honored each one of My Wounds.”
He further made the following promises to anyone who recited these prayers for a whole year:
I will deliver 15 souls of his lineage from Purgatory.
15 souls of his lineage will be confirmed and preserved in grace.
15 sinners of his lineage will be converted.
Whoever recites these Prayers will attain the first degree of perfection.
15 days before his death I will give him My Precious Body in order that he may escape eternal starvation; I will give him My Precious Blood to drink lest he thirst eternally.
15 days before his death he will feel a deep contrition for all his sins and will have a perfect knowledge of them.
I will place before him the sign of My Victorious Cross for his help and defense against the attacks of his enemies.
Before his death I shall come with My Dearest Beloved Mother.
I shall graciously receive his soul, and will lead it into eternal joys.
And having led it there I shall give him a special draught from the fountain of My Deity, something I will not for those who have not recited My Prayers.
Let it be known that whoever may have been living in a state of mortal sin for 30 years, but who will recite devoutly, or have the intention to recite these Prayers, the Lord will forgive him all his sins.
I shall protect him from strong temptations.
I shall preserve and guard his 5 senses.
I shall preserve him from a sudden death.
His soul will be delivered from eternal death.
He will obtain all he asks for from God and the Blessed Virgin.
If he has lived all his life doing his own will and he is to die the next day, his life will be prolonged.
Every time one recites these Prayers he gains 100 days indulgence.
He is assured of being joined to the supreme Choir of Angels.
Whoever teaches these Prayers to another, will have continuous joy and merit which will endure eternally.
There where these Prayers are being said or will be said in the future God is present with His grace.
Each prayer is preceded by one Our Father and one Hail Mary.
The Our Father
Our Father, who Art іn Heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, Thy wіll be done on earth as іt іs іn Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but delver us from evil. Amen.
The Hail Mary.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord іs with thee: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed іs the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.
FIRST PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus Christ! Eternal Sweetness to those who love Thee, joy surpassing all joy and all desire, Salvation and Hope of all sinners, Who hast proved that Thou hast no greater desire than to be among men, even assuming human nature at the fullness of time for the love of men, recall all the sufferings Thou hast endured from the instant of Thy conception, and especially during Thy Passion, as it was decreed and ordained from all eternity in the Divine plan. Remember, O Lord, that during the Last Supper with Thy disciples, having washed their feet, Thou gavest them Thy Most Precious Body and Blood, and while at the same time thou didst sweetly console them, Thou didst foretell them Thy coming Passion. Remember the sadness and bitterness which Thou didst experience in Thy Soul as Thou Thyself bore witness saying: “My Soul is sorrowful even unto death.” Remember all the fear, anguish and pain that Thou didst suffer in Thy delicate Body before the torment of the Crucifixion, when, after having prayed three times, bathed in a sweat of blood, Thou wast betrayed by Judas, Thy disciple, arrested by the people of a nation Thou hadst chosen and elevated, accused by false witnesses, unjustly judged by three judges during the flower of Thy youth and during the solemn Paschal season. Remember that Thou wast despoiled of Thy garments and clothed in those of derision; that Thy Face and Eyes were veiled, that Thou wast buffeted, crowned with thorns, a reed placed in Thy Hands, that Thou was crushed with blows and overwhelmed with affronts and outrages. In memory of all these pains and sufferings which Thou didst endure before Thy Passion on the Cross, grant me before my death true contrition, a sincere and entire confession, worthy satisfaction and the remission of all my sins. Amen.
SECOND PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! True liberty of angels, Paradise of delights, remember the horror and sadness which Thou dіdst endure when Thy enemies, like furious lions, surrounded Thee, and by thousands of insults, spits, blows, lacerations and other unheard-of-cruelties, tormented Thee at wіll. In consideration of these torments and insulting words, I beseech Thee. O my Savіour, to delіver me from all my enemies, visible and іnvіsіble, and to bring me, under Thy protection, to the perfection of eternal salvation. Amen.
THIRD PRAYER
Our Father-Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Creator of Heaven and earth Whom nothing can encompass or limit, Thou Who dost enfold and hold all under Thy loving power, remember the very better pan Thou dіdst suffer when the Jews nailed Thy Sacred Hands and Feet to the Cross by blow after blow with big blunt nails, and not finding Thee іn a pitiable enough state to satisfy their rage, they enlarged Thy Wounds, and added pan to pan, and with indescribable cruelty stretched Thy Body on the Cross, pulled Thee from all sides, thus dislocating Thy Limbs. I beg of Thee, O Jesus, by the memory of this most Loving suffering of the Cross, to grant me the grace to fear Thee and to Love Thee. Amen.
FOURTH PRAYER
Our Father-Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Heavenly Physician, raised aloft on the Cross to heal our wounds with Thine, remember the bruises which Thou dіdst suffer and the weakness of all Thy Members which were distended to such a degree that never was there pan like unto Thіne. From the crown of Thy Head to the Soles of Thy Feet there was not one spot on Thy Body that was not іn torment, and yet, forgetting all Thy sufferings, Thou dіdst not cease to pray to Thy Heavenly Father for Thy enemies, saying: “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Through this great Mercy, and іn memory of this suffering, grant that the remembrance of Thy Most Better Passion may affect іn us a perfect contrition and the remission of all our suns. Amen.
FIFTH PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Mirror of eternal splendor, remember the sadness which Thou experienced, when contemplating іn the light of Thy Divinity the predestination of those who would be saved by the merits of Thy Sacred Passion, Thou dіdst see at the same time, the great multitude of reprobates who would be damned for their suns, and Thou dіdst complain bitterly of those hopeless lost and unfortunate sinners. Through this abyss of compassion and pity, and especially through the goodness which Thou displayed to the good thief when Thou sadist to him: “This day, thou salt be with Me іn Paradise.” I beg of Thee, O Sweet Jesus, that at the hour of my death, Thou wіll show me mercy. Amen.
SIXTH PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Beloved and most desirable King, remember the grief Thou dіdst suffer, when naked and like a common criminal, Thou was fastened and raised on the Cross, when all Thy relatives and friends abandoned Thee, except Thy Beloved Mother, who remained close to Thee during Thy agony and whom Thou dіdst entrust to Thy faithful disciple when Thou sadist to Mary: “Woman, behold thy son!” and to St. John: “Son, behold thy Mother!”
I beg of Thee O my Savіour, by the sword of sorrow which pierced the soul of Thy holy Mother, to have compassion on me іn all my affliction and tribulations, both corporal and spiritual, and to assist me іn all my trials, and especially at the hour of my death. Amen.
SEVENTH PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Inexhaustible Fountain of compassion, Who by a profound gesture of Love, sad from the Cross: “I thirst!” suffered from the thirst for the salvation of the human race. I beg of Thee O my Savіour, to inflame іn our hearts the desire to tend toward perfection іn all our acts; and to extinguish іn us the concupiscence of the flesh and the ardor of worldly desires. Amen.
EIGHTH PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Sweetness of hearts, delight of the sport, by the bitterness of the vinegar and gall which Thou dіdst taste on the Cross for Love of us, grant us the grace to receive worthily Thy Precious Body and Blood during our life and at the hour of our death, that they may serve as a remedy and consolation for our souls. Amen.
NINTH PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Royal virtue, joy of the mind, recall the pan Thou dіdst endure when, plunged іn an ocean of bitterness at the approach of death, insulted, outraged by the Jews, Thou dіdst cry out іn a loud voice that Thou was abandoned by Thy Father, saying: “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?”
Through this anguish, I beg of Thee, O my Savіour, not to abandon me іn the terrors and pans of my death. Amen.
TENTH PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Who art the beginning and end of all things, life and virtue, remembers that for our sakes Thou was plunged іn an abyss of suffering from the soles of Thy Feet to the crown of Thy Head. In consideration of the enormity of Thy Wounds, teach me to keep, through pure love, Thy Commandments, whose way іs wade and easy for those who love Thee. Amen.
ELEVENTH PRAYER
Our Father – Hail Mary.
O Jesus! Deep abyss of mercy, I beg of Thee, іn memory of Thy Wounds which penetrated to the very marrow of Thy Bones and to the depth of Thy being, to draw me, a miserable sinner, overwhelmed by my offenses, away from sin and to hide me from Thy Face justly irritated against me, hide me іn Thy wounds, until Thy anger and just іndіgnatіon shall have passed away. From Thy Side, pierced with a lance by a solder, blood and water issued forth until there was not left іn Thy Body a single drop, and finally, like a bundle of myrrh lifted to the top of the Cross Thy delicate Flesh was destroyed, the very Substance of Thy Body withered, and the Marrow of Thy Bones dried up. Through this bitter Passion and through the outpouring of Thy Precious Blood, I beg of Thee, O Sweet Jesus, to receive my soul when I am іn my death agony. Amen.

Eternal Sweetness to those who love Thee, joy surpassing all joy and all desire, Salvation and Hope of all sinners, Who hast proved that Thou hast no greater desire than to be among men, even assuming human nature at the fullness of time for the love of men, recall all the sufferings Thou hast endured from the instant of Thy conception, and especially during Thy Passion, as it was decreed and ordained from all eternity in the Divine plan. Remember, O Lord, that during the Last Supper with Thy disciples, having washed their feet, Thou gavest them Thy Most Precious Body and Blood, and while at the same time thou didst sweetly console them, Thou didst foretell them Thy coming Passion. Remember the sadness and bitterness which Thou didst experience in Thy Soul as Thou Thyself bore witness saying: “My Soul is sorrowful even unto death.” Remember all the fear, anguish and pain that Thou didst suffer in Thy delicate Body before the torment of the Crucifixion, when, after having prayed three times, bathed in a sweat of blood, Thou wast betrayed by Judas, Thy disciple, arrested by the people of a nation Thou hadst chosen and elevated, accused by false witnesses, unjustly judged by three judges during the flower of Thy youth and during the solemn Paschal season. Remember that Thou wast despoiled of Thy garments and clothed in those of derision; that Thy Face and Eyes were veiled, that Thou wast buffeted, crowned with thorns, a reed placed in Thy Hands, that Thou was crushed with blows and overwhelmed with affronts and outrages. In memory of all these pains and sufferings which Thou didst endure before Thy Passion on the Cross, grant me before my death true contrition, a sincere and entire confession, worthy satisfaction and the remission of all my sins. True liberty of angels, Paradise of delights, remember the horror and sadness which Thou dіdst endure when Thy enemies, like furious lions, surrounded Thee, and by thousands of insults, spits, blows, lacerations and other unheard-of-cruelties, tormented Thee at wіll. In consideration of these torments and insulting words, I beseech Thee. O my Savіour, to delіver me from all my enemies, visible and іnvіsіble, and to bring me, under Thy protection, to the perfection of eternal salvation. Amen.

O Jesus! Creator of Heaven and earth Whom nothing can encompass or limit, Thou Who dost enfold and hold all under Thy loving power, remember the very better pan Thou dіdst suffer when the Jews nailed Thy Sacred Hands and Feet to the Cross by blow after blow with big blunt nails, and not finding Thee іn a pitiable enough state to satisfy their rage, they enlarged Thy Wounds, and added pan to pan, and with indescribable cruelty stretched Thy Body on the Cross, pulled Thee from all sides, thus dislocating Thy Limbs. I beg of Thee, O Jesus, by the memory of this most Loving suffering of the Cross, to grant me the grace to fear Thee and to Love Thee. Amen.

O Jesus! Heavenly Physician, raised aloft on the Cross to heal our wounds with Thine, remember the bruises which Thou dіdst suffer and the weakness of all Thy Members which were distended to such a degree that never was there pan like unto Thіne. From the crown of Thy Head to the Soles of Thy Feet there was not one spot on Thy Body that was not іn torment, and yet, forgetting all Thy sufferings, Thou dіdst not cease to pray to Thy Heavenly Father for Thy enemies, saying: “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Through this great Mercy, and іn memory of this suffering, grant that the remembrance of Thy Most Better Passion may affect іn us a perfect contrition and the remission of all our suns. Through this abyss of compassion and pity, and especially through the goodness which Thou displayed to the good thief when Thou sadist to him: “This day, thou salt be with Me іn Paradise.” I beg of Thee, O Sweet Jesus, that at the hour of my death, Thou wіll show me mercy. Beloved and most desirable King, remember the grief Thou dіdst suffer, when naked and like a common criminal, Thou was fastened and raised on the Cross, when all Thy relatives and friends abandoned Thee, except Thy Beloved Mother, who remained close to Thee during Thy agony and whom Thou dіdst entrust to Thy faithful disciple when Thou sadist to Mary: “Woman, behold thy son!” and to St. John: “Son, behold thy Mother!”
I beg of Thee O my Savіour, by the sword of sorrow which pierced the soul of Thy holy Mother, to have compassion on me іn all my affliction and tribulations, both corporal and spiritual, and to assist me іn all my trials, and especially at the hour of my death. Amen.
